Florence Copper Production Must Triple to Meet Annual Target

Trekor Metals has stated that its Florence copper project in Arizona will accelerate production ramp-up in the second half of the year,
aiming to increase output threefold to ensure the mine produces at least 30 million pounds of copper for the full year.
The Florence copper project is the world's first commercial-scale copper mine using In-Situ Copper Recovery (ISCR) technology.
Located over 100 kilometers southeast of Phoenix, the mine produced 6.7 million pounds of copper in the first half of the year ending June 30,
with second-quarter output reaching 5.2 million pounds, marking the mine's first full three-month production period.
To meet the full-year target of 30 to 35 million pounds, Florence will need to produce an additional 23.3 to 28.3 million pounds of copper.
Trekor CEO Stuart McDonald told the *Northern Miner* that the company plans to bring approximately 26 new production wells online this month.
McDonald stated on Thursday: "We expect the production ramp-up in the second half of the year to accelerate significantly.
Our goal is to achieve steady-state operations near design capacity by the end of 2026."
Florence is a core growth pillar for Trekor (formerly Taseko Mines) and represents the company's only near-term organic production growth project.
Once the mine reaches its design capacity of 85 million pounds of copper per year, the company's reliance on its Gibraltar mine in British Columbia will decrease,
and it will also validate whether the commercial application of in-situ recovery can achieve the low-cost advantages Trekor anticipates.
Trekor's Toronto-listed shares rose 1.2% to C$11.65 per share in recent trading. The stock has nearly tripled over the past 12 months,
trading in a 52-week range of C$12.47 and C$4.16. Trekor currently has a market capitalization of C$4.3 billion (approximately US$3 billion).
